At Proteus: Barbara does at Proteus what every good COO does: "she runs the operation." That includes overseeing the myriad of critical components associated with the business end of the business - finance, information technology, human resources and so on. Her influence on the culture of the company and our get-the-work-done-at-all-costs attitude is pervasive, as demonstrated by her successful supervision of the design, build-out and move of the Proteus' offices from Boston to Cambridge. Additionally, she is a trusted sounding board on strategic issues for Don and our other senior executives.
Pre Proteus: Barbara has been a key part of Proteus from Day One, so it is hard to imagine her in any other work environment. In an earlier life, however, she managed the in-house graphics department for Cabot Safety and supported the AOSafety and E.A.R. Hearing Protection brands.
